CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
COMBINED TRADITIONS YOGA ALL LEVELS- combining branches of yoga (Hatha, Bhakti, Karma, Nada, Raja) through the styles of combining a variety of styles like Sampoorna, Sivananda, Vinyasa, Restorative, Gentle & Chair, Partner Yoga, Tai Chi, etc. bringing more of a meditative, spiritual, healing and awakening experience.
This class is a challenging yet relaxing class which may include a combination of breathing exercises, postures, sun salutations, Tai Chi, balancing, visualizations, guided relaxation or Yoga Nidra, meditation. The open level class is different every time and the level of difficulty is dependent upon the students in class.
TRANSFORMATIONAL YOGA- For beginners and intermediates who wish to deepen their yoga practice by experiencing the fullness of yoga bringing you a more meditative and transformational experience. Explore aspects of yoga including how to bring your yoga practice into everyday life, yoga history, philosophy, breathing exercises, styles such as gentle, restorative, chair, partner yoga, vinyasa, deep relaxation, meditation. Please bring a mat and blanket/towel to class.

TRANSFORMATIONAL YOGA - Part 2
Part 2 of Transformational yoga class will cover different branches of yoga philosophy and the yamas and nyamas ways of living so you can bring your yoga practice into everyday life. This in depth look at the practice of yoga as not just a physical practice but a way of life that can bring more self exploration and self love and more of healthier, happier, peaceful life. Explore aspects of yoga including how to bring your yoga practice into everyday life, yoga history, philosophy, breathing exercises, styles of yoga such as gentle, chair yoga, meditation. Bring a mat, cushion to sit on, or blanket and comfortably empty stomach. Previous yoga experience preferred. GENTLE & RESTORATIVE - Gentle yoga postures with focus on the breath with relaxing Restorative Yoga postures and deep guided relaxation. Great for beginners, seniors of for people that want want to decompress and let go!
Restorative yoga is often referred to as "active relaxation." By supporting the body with props we stimulate and relax the body to move toward balance, relaxation and renewal of body and mind. It is designed to release deeply held tensions, sooth the nervous system, strengthen the immune system and refill our spiritual wells. It also includes a combination of breathing exercises, gentle stretching poses, and guided relaxations or yoga nidra.
YOGA NIDRA- Yoga Nidra is a systematic method of complete relaxation, holistically addressing our physiological, neurological, subconscious needs, where one achieves true relaxation. During the practice of yoga nidra, one appears to be sleep, but the consciousness is functioning at the deeper level of awareness. It is state of mind in between wakefulness and dream. People have found a constant practice of Yoga Nidra restructures and transforms the whole personality from within.
The practice of yogic relaxation has been found to effectively reduce tension and improve psychological well being of people suffering from anxiety. The autonomic symptoms of high anxiety such as headache, giddiness, chest pain, palpitations, sweating, abdominal pain respond exceptionally well to yoga nidra. Practicing yoga nidra successfully decreases the time required to fall asleep, thereby curing insomnia. Yoga Nidra is a systematic method of complete relaxation, holistically addressing our physiological, neurological, and subconscious needs.
